Your mission
Lead and scale a high-performing Applied Science org at the intersection of research and productsetting strategy raising the bar on scientific excellence and shipping reliable cost-efficient ML systems that power UiPathwhile diving into models when it matters and shaping roadmaps talent and cross-functional execution.
What youll do at UiPath
Org Scope: Build and lead a multi-disciplinary team of applied scientists across core product lines (document understanding UI automation agents). Launch and scale UiPaths new London site.
Stack: Python PyTorch numpy scikit Langgraph and various agentic frameworks.
Outcomes: Deliver quantifiable improvements in model quality latency cost efficiency safety and reliability through rapid research-to-production cycles.
What youll bring to the team
10 years in applied ML including 4 years leading multi-team organizations delivering production ML systems.
Deep ML expertise with strong foundations in math statistics and computer science.
Proficiency in modern ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX) and distributed systems.
Exceptional communication skillsable to simplify complex topics for executives and provide precise technical guidance to teams.
Values: Kind motivated self-starting and responsible.
Nice to have:
Experience in enterprise SaaS automation or developer platforms.
Experience running large-scale evaluation and optimizing models.
State of the art knowledge in one of the following: LLMs NLP or Computer Vision with publications patents or OSS contributions in this space.
