How youll contribute

AParamedic who excels in this role:

• Responds to calls for emergency medical services and provides patient care as directed and/or determined necessary.
• Safely navigates ambulance to patients location. Provides stabilization of scene and requests additional assistance as necessary.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patients history from available sources.
• Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice including patient stabilization monitoring and resuscitation from the scene to receiving medical facility.
• Contacts medical personnel reports/records observations and follows directives from supervising Physician or Registered Nurse.
• Maintains equipment restocks supplies and cleans ambulance as necessary.

What were looking for

• Successfully completed MDHHS approved Paramediccourse
• Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Paramedic license
• Valid Michigan drivers license
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)
• Trauma Course (ITLS or PHTLS) (Preferred)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (Preferred)
• Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) VFIS Driver Training or equivalent (preferred)
• 6 months field experience in EMS (Preferred)
