- Analyse and select compelling assortments within your assigned categories / activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our brand partners.
- Sales performance tracking for selected category assigned and take proactive action on underperforming products through markdowns or promotions and over performing products through daily business.
- Monitor and ensure on-time delivery of stocks from suppliers.
- Monitor weekly trade performance and stock health; and sell-through targets by category and brand.
- Identify white space opportunities and drive product innovation.
- Negotiate cost prices margin improvements trading terms and exclusivity opportunities with our brand partners.
- Code creation issue PO & update Delivery Plan to make sure the systems are always up to date.
- Sourcing for potential brand or supplier evaluate and propose for the business.
- Participate in seasonal sell-in and buying appointments with suppliers and brands.
- Monitor industry trends and market developments to ensure assortments remain relevant and competitive.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising E-commerce and Marketing to ensure alignment across channels.
- Work with Planning and Allocation teams to optimize distribution strategies and store grading.
- Work closely with Store Operations to understand customer feedback and regional needs.
- Any other lawful assignments as and when assigned by the Head of HR & higher management.
Qualifications :
- At least 3 years experience in retail buying/ merchandising preferable from the sports retail industry is desirable.
- Applicants from Fashion & Merchandising Fashion Design Business Management Marketing Economics / Finance Supply Chain Management / Logistics are encouraged to apply.
- Strong in negotiation skills and supplier relationship management skills.
- Good analytic capability and numbers sensitive.
- Knowledge in MS Excel.
- Good time management skills and deadline sensitive.
- A real passion for retail & able to spot customer trends.
