What you can expect to work on As a CAD Designer youll play a key role in supporting engineering and facility design projects within a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing setting. Youll be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality 2D and 3D drawings that meet rigorous industry and regulatory standards. - Prepares and updates detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for:
- Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for clean utilities and process systems
- Electrical schematics including low-voltage distribution panel schedules and control wiring
- Architectural layouts for cleanrooms labs and GMP spaces
- Develops and revises 3D component and equipment models in SolidWorks as needed for equipment design custom skids and space planning
- Ensures drawings comply with applicable standards as specified by the Niowave engineering team
- Collaborates with engineers project managers and QA to incorporate feedback and ensure drawing accuracy for capital projects equipment installations and facility upgrades
- Maintains drawing version control file organization and documentation logs in compliance with engineering change control procedures
- Supports facility layout planning for equipment installation cleanroom classification zoning and workflow optimization
What you need to succeed - Associates degree two-year technical degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years experience working directly with subject matter experts (mechanical electrical nuclear engineers etc.) for succinct project execution and successful completion
- 2-5 years CAD Designer experience including application of best practices of mechanical engineering
- Embraces and models the Niowave Core Values of Teamwork Courage Integrity and Upright Zeal
- Understands how to integrate into a new team/organization appreciates the history of current state know how and when to make suggestions as well as using just the right pace to reach the improved future state
- Understands your own communication and learning styles can assess others styles and is able to find the right path to best connect with colleagues
- Displays excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
- Possesses strong organizational and project management skills
Great to have - Experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma 5S)
- Experience with facility layout planning and equipment installations
Other things to note - Full-time position.
- The companys standard operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6a 6p with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts.
- This position will have regular working hours during M F with an expectation of adjusting to working outside of the standard operating hours as assigned.
- Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area. Travel between locations is expected in the role.
