Sr. Project Manager Construction

THE POSITION:
The Senior Project Manager Construction will oversee the planning coordination and delivery of large-scale data center projects. This role is critical in driving day-to-day execution ensuring alignment between general contractors vendors and STACKs internal teams.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing fast-track ground-up projects from inception through completion. This individual thrives in complex environments can balance competing priorities and has the leadership skills to motivate teams while delivering projects safely on time and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Delivery: Manage all phases of data center construction projects including scope schedule cost and quality.
- Contractor & Vendor Oversight: Serve as a key point of contact with general contractors owner-direct vendors and trade partners to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Track forecast and report on project financials and timelines; prepare variance reports and mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior project managers and coordinators; foster a collaborative results-oriented culture.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular project updates and reports to internal leadership and external clients ensuring transparency and consistency.
- Risk Management: Identify document and proactively resolve issues that could impact project performance.
- Safety & Quality: Promote and enforce STACKs culture of safety and high-quality standards on all job sites.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal departments (Engineering EH&S Finance Operations) to ensure seamless delivery and handover of facilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 710 years of progressive experience in construction project management with at least 5 years on large-scale fast-track builds (data centers strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts scheduling budgeting and reporting.
- Proven track record managing ground-up core and shell sitework and fit-out projects ($100M preferred).
- Client-facing experience with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with project management software; Procore Bluebeam and BIM familiarity is a plus.
- Strong financial acumen and attention to detail in cost tracking and reporting.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or related field.

- Location: Las Cruces/Dona Ana County New Mexico
- Travel: Domestic travel required up to 20%
- Compensation: $165000 - $185000/year target bonus
