Numerical Control Programmers CMM (Associate or Mid-Level)

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes Quality Organization is hiring either an Associate or MidLevel Numerical Control Programmers to join our Portland OR team. This role focuses on metrology and precision inspection using Coordinated Measurement Machine (CMM) to ensure parts and assemblies meet engineering and quality specifications. This position is distinct from CNC programming roles and centers on measurement inspection programming data analysis and supporting continuous improvement in our manufacturing and quality processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides numerical control machining and programming technical expertise to support the design and manufacture of parts and assemblies.
  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plans creates verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) geometry and documentation that directs the operations of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts tools and assemblies.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods processes software and equipment.
  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Ability and willingness to work a variable shift
  • 1 or more years of experience programming and operating Coordinated Measurement Machine (CMM)
  • 1 or more years of experience conducting Inspections using ASME Standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
  • 1 or more years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Quality Process Improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using Spatial Analyzer (SA) or similar metrology software
  • 3 or more years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college university technical school licensing/certification programs etc.)

  • Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $72250 - $97750

  • Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $90950 - $123050
