The Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools serves 1600 students from PreK-12 and is a free open-enrollment public charter school. Over 92% of our students are Latinx. Our school system consists of Guadalupe Centers High School Guadalupe Centers Middle School and Guadalupe Centers Elementary School. Our system grew out of Guadalupe Centers educational programming. Guadalupe Centers is the longest continuously operating agency serving the Latinx community in the US since 1919. Our roots in our community run deep.

Summary:
The Baseball Assistant Coach will coordinate instruct motivate and organize the High School Baseball Team. This position is primarily at Guadalupe Centers High School and their athletic fields. This position is appointed annually for the term of the baseball season.
Reports To: Athletic Director Principal & Vice Principal
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing daily training sessions for the wrestling team
- Help athletes improve their technical skills physical fitness and overall performance
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to team members during practices and competitions
- Assist in developing game strategies and analyzing opponents strengths and weaknesses
- Support the Head Coach in supervising team members during training and competition
- Mentor and motivate student-athletes promoting teamwork discipline and sportsmanship
- Maintain the safety and well-being of team members at all times
- Contribute to the development of young athletes character and leadership skills
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree in a related field preferred
- Previous experience as a baseball coach at the high school or college level
- Strong knowledge ofbaseball techniques rules and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively connect with student-athletes and their parents
- Passion for working with young athletes and helping them reach their full potential
- Flexible schedule to accommodate practices competitions and travel as required
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team and support the vision and goals set by the Head Coach.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities.
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
