About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst Intern to join our Information Security team. This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a Cybersecurity or closely related degree program. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise security operations assisting with threat management vulnerability assessment and security awareness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with threat management and threat hunting activities
Support vulnerability management processes
Participate in cybersecurity training and phishing simulation campaigns
Contribute to tool selection and implementation efforts
Help maintain documentation related to security operations
Collaborate with team members on compliance-related tasks
Monitor security alerts and escalate incidents as appropriate
Conduct basic log analysis and report suspicious activity
Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities
Participate in internal audits and risk assessments
Help with onboarding and offboarding processes from a security perspective
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Cybersecurity or closely related degree program
Strong interest in cybersecurity and information security practices
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with Windows desktop server or RedHat Linux Operating Systems
Basic understanding of networking concepts
Preferred Skills (Desirable Not Required):
Familiarity with vulnerability management cybersecurity training NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and SOC2
Basic understanding of threat detection and incident response concepts
Experience with security tools or platforms is a plus
Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g. Python PowerShell) is a plus
Awareness of current cybersecurity trends and best practices
