Job Title: Project Director
Job Summary: Responsible for assisting management in the general business operations of the company by directing and overseeing the operations and activities of assigned projects and project teams. The Project Director manages large complex projects or multiple smaller projects mentors project management staff and ensures projects are completed safely on schedule within budget and meet profitability goals while promoting strong client relationships and the companys reputation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Direct and oversee assigned projects and project teams to ensure quality completion on time and within budget.
- Mentor train and develop project management staff; identify workforce development needs.
- Review contracts design documents and submittals for compliance and risk mitigation.
- Prepare project specifications budgets and schedules; monitor progress and profitability.
- Maintain strong client relationships; communicate project status and resolve issues promptly.
- Identify and manage changes in project scope; prepare and process change orders.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement and ensure compliance with prequalification requirements.
- Lead or participate in responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assemble design teams.
- Promote and enforce company policies safety standards and best practices.
- Assist with marketing and business development efforts for new and existing clients.
- Other relevant duties.
Education Experience and Licensing/Certifications include:
- Degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field; minimum 10 years of experience managing construction projects for a general contractor.
- Design-build experience on relevant project types.
- Valid state-issued drivers license with satisfactory driving record.
