Job Description
Join the dynamic hospitality team at Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU as an In-Room Dining Server! Situated in the heart of Tempe adjacent to Arizona State University our hotel offers unparalleled service and amenities making every stay unforgettable. As an In-Room Dining Server youll play a crucial role in providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience right in the comfort of their own rooms. Were seeking a passionate service-oriented individual who is available to work morning hours throughout the week. If you have a knack for personal guest service and a commitment to excellence we would love to welcome you to our team. This is a full-time position with required availability of 5:45 to 11:30 AM.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver food and beverage orders to guests in a timely efficient and courteous manner.
- Ensure accuracy of orders by carefully reviewing them before delivery and making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items including ingredients preparation methods and specials to answer guest queries confidently.
- Set up and break down in-room dining trays and tables ensuring a neat and attractive presentation according to Omni standards.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols at all times including proper handling of food and utensils.
- Process payments accurately and promptly providing guests with a seamless dining experience.
- Build and maintain positive guest relations by engaging with guests to enhance their stay and encourage return visits.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
- Manage inventory and par level stock of commonly used beverages condiments and accessories.
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and forward any concerns to management promptly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Server in a fast-paced dining or hotel environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and interact positively with guests.
- Ability to work AM shifts across 7 days a week.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills for order processing.
- A commitment to delivering high levels of customer service and maintaining Omnis standards of excellence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to carry and deliver heavy trays and stand for extended have unexpired Food Handlers or obtain upon hire.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a food handler certification.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
- MICROS Experience preferred.
*This position is a full-time on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
