DescriptionThe Global Philanthropy team is part of Corporate Responsibility and deploys philanthropic capital to community partners that are delivering innovative models and solutions to advance an economy that works for all. Reaching more than 35 markets around the world our philanthropic commitments focus on creating systems change and driving sustainable impact in three pillars of work internationally: Business Growth & Entrepreneurship Careers & Skills and Financial Health.
As a Global Philanthropy Associate in the Global Philanthropy team you will support the work focused on the Careers and Skills and Small Business pillars to contribute to the management development and implementation of the firms philanthropic programs in selected countries in Europe.
Job responsibilities
- Design plan execute and monitor grants that are aligned to Corporate Responsibilitys broader inclusive economic development agenda
- Source and structure partnerships with leading organizations to address needs in the communities we serve
- Determine success measures for these programs
- Conduct effective due diligence and risk analysis to ensure that the firms resources and reputation are protected
- Manage live grants to ensure that the work funded is delivered monitored and that impact is measured and risks are managed.
- Research and identify opportunitiesthat align with the firms Corporate Responsibility strategy with a particular focus on selected markets in Europe to support the development of the local grant-making strategy.
- Support the development of materials for internal and external use that tell a compelling story of the outcomes of our philanthropic initiatives and elevate key collaboration with the broader firm.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop the philanthropic Business Growth and Entrepreneurship strategy for EMEA and contribute to Corporate Responsibilitys broader inclusive economic development agenda.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Work experience of grant-making and/or experience working with non-profit or social impact organisations particularly in European countries.
- Experience and/or knowledge of economic inclusion topics in particular employment & skills and/or entrepreneurship programs.
- Proficiency in English (written and oral communications skills)
- Self-motivated and ability to work both in a team as well as in independent context
- Strong organisational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Capable of working under pressure and against tight deadlines
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and on complex issues
- Good balance of analytical commercial and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent and efficient MS office user especially PowerPoint Word and Excel skills.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Proficiency in other European language (particularly Italian French or Spanish) would be considered a strong asset.
