Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage enterprise-level backup and recovery strategies.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Failover Clusters and Hyper-V environments.
- Administer and optimize SAN and NAS storage solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Conduct regular disaster recovery testing and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure backup coverage.
- Provide technical guidance and support on all backup-related issues.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education: Relevant IT qualification or Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience: Proven background in enterprise backup and recovery engineering.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft clustering technologies (Failover Clustering and Hyper-V).
- Experience with SAN/NAS storage management.
- Hands-on knowledge of at least one mainstream backup software (Veeam Commvault Veritas NetBackup Acronis or Rubrik).
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Strong troubleshooting documentation and communication skills.
- Preferred: Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Veeam VMCE or Commvault Certified Professional.
- Additional Advantage: Experience with cloud-based backup (Azure/AWS) and scripting (PowerShell and Bash).
