Job Summary
A large forward-thinking 1118 school in Nottinghamshire is looking for a passionate Teacher of History to join its thriving Humanities faculty from January 2026.
This is a permanent full-time position ideal for a teacher who loves connecting the past to the present and helping students understand the world through critical thinking and storytelling.
The school has a strong academic reputation and a Good with Outstanding features Ofsted rating praised for its ambitious curriculum and strong sense of community. The Humanities block is a recently refurbished space with digital displays interactive whiteboards and a shared research library linking History Politics and RE.
Students regularly take part in debating competitions museum partnerships and historical field trips to sites across the UK and beyond. The departments annual History Through Film week and its close link with the Sixth Forms Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) are real highlights of the school calendar.
