Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hr; (Negotiable based on experience)

Shifts Available: 12-hr Shifts

Night Shift: 06:45 PM 07:15 AM
Day Shift: 06:45 AM 07:15 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care to acutely ill patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but are not in critical condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the PCU in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Monitor assess and treat patients with moderate to high acuity.
Administer medications operate medical equipment and assist with diagnostic procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans.
Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly.
Educate patients and their families about ongoing health needs and post-discharge care.
Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition with a high level of skill and urgency.
Maintain a safe clean and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in PCU ICU Med-Surg or Telemetry.
BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
