Pay Rate: $50 - $56/hr; (Negotiable based on experience)

Shifts Available: 12-hr Shifts

Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team on a PRN basis. As an RN in the PCU you will provide intermediate-level care to patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments often due to complex medical conditions. This role is ideal for experienced nurses seeking flexibility and a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe evidence-based and patient-centered nursing care in a PCU setting.
Monitor and assess patients with acute and chronic conditions identifying changes in status.
Administer medications treatments and interventions as prescribed.
Collaborate closely with physicians interdisciplinary team members and families.
Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and care plans.
Document all patient care accurately and timely using electronic medical records (EMR).
Respond to emergency situations with swift effective interventions.
Uphold hospital policies procedures and best practices in patient care.

Required Requirements:

Active RN license in the state of Hawaii.
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Step-Down/Telemetry nursing experience.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights weekends and holidays as needed.
