Job Description:
(Must be local and within driving distance; travel up to 50% required across Southern CA & Las Vegas region).
Experience & Requirements: - 8 years of HR Business Partner experience with a Bachelors degree or 6 years with a Masters degree.
- Experience supporting 1000 employees across multi-site retail locations.
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and federal employment regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multi-unit operations and partner with store leaders across regions.
- Excellent communication coaching and problem-solving skills.
- Must be local to West Covina CA and available to travel regularly.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have: - Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- HR Certifications: PHR SPHR SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
- Experience in union or labor relations environments.
- Prior experience in retail or similar high-volume industry.
Key Responsibilities: - Partner with store and regional leadership to deliver proactive strategic HR support.
- Guide employee relations performance management organizational development and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) on initiatives in Talent Development Compensation Benefits and DEI.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify operational and engagement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with California employment laws and company policies.
- Drive change management and initiatives focused on teammate engagement and retention.
- Oversee headcount management and coordinate with RPO for regional staffing needs.
