JOB TITLE: Engineering Drafter - REMOTE
LOCATION: Syracuse NY
PAY RATE: $70-85/hour

Summary:

Check PWB PWA and schematic drawings to ensure compliance with drafting standards and IEEE requirements.
Collaborate with the drafting team to ensure proper archiving and creation of drawings in the correct CAD tools.
Verify that all drawing notes follow standard notes or program-specific hardware development plans.
Utilize CAD tools to complete layout checks prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
Review designs created in tools such as Cadence Altium Zuken and Xpedition; document using Blueprint and AutoCAD.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of PWB/PWA and schematic checking processes.
Experience ensuring compliance with IEEE and LM drafting standards.
Proficiency with CAD tools: Cadence Allegro Altium Designer Zuken CR-8000 Xpedition.
Ability to check and validate layout drawings and ensure proper documentation.
Familiarity with documentation tools (Blueprint AutoCAD) and archiving/configuration management systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify drafting errors and standard deviations.
Experience in aerospace defense or other high-compliance industries.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
