Job Summary

The Production Supervisor position is responsible for supervision training and scheduling of shop personnel to include the manufacture and quality control of all equipment parts orders work orders and equipment process instruction implementation. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Good general math and trigonometry
Ability to interpret manufacturing routing forms
Good hands-on mechanical ability
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with metal fabrication
Hands on working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
Associates degree in a technical field with a minimum of three years supervisory experience preferred or seven years experience without a degree

Responsibilities

Promote excellence throughout the department
Responsible and accountable for shop organization cleanliness and quality
Responsible for promoting and maintaining the standards of the PRAB production system
Supervise activities of manufacturing to obtain optimum productivity and accuracy
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Work with multiple departments solving Product Efficiency Issues (PEI)
Continuous improvement is expected in all critical activities
Job work order and parts order scheduling
Assist in the development and implementation of fixtures and fixture kits for existing and new products
Maintain a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety
Interface with other manufacturing departments engineering purchasing processing shipping and sales
Attend all scheduled meetings as required
An active member of the manufacturing problem-solving team
