Job Summary
Control Room Operator Power Generation
Pay: $27-37/hr (DOE)
Shift: Rotating 12 hour Shift
Were looking for a detail-oriented safety-focused Control Room Operator to join our power generation this role youll monitor and coordinate operations across four nearby powerhouses ensuring safe reliable and efficient plant performance while supporting field teams and serving as the primary customer contact during your shift.
What Youll Do
Monitor & Control Operations Oversee real-time plant performance using MyPlant tracking engine output emissions and key system parameters.
Alarm Management Respond to alarms and abnormal system conditions coordinate with Operators and Troubleshooters and escalate issues as needed.
Customer Communication Act as the main point of contact for load and demand adjustments ensuring accurate and timely generation dispatch.
LOTO Coordination Manage and track Lockout/Tagout procedures across multiple sites to maintain safety compliance.
Shift Coordination Maintain clear communication with site teams allocate resources effectively and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
Documentation & Reporting Keep accurate shift logs MyPlant records and customer interaction notes.
Continuous Improvement Participate in alarm trend reviews and performance discussions to enhance operations.
What Were Looking For
Experience in power generation control room operations or industrial plant environments preferred
Strong situational awareness and ability to manage multiple priorities in real time
Excellent communication skills both with internal teams and customers
Commitment to safety protocols and compliance
Ability to work a shift-based schedule including nights and weekends
