Job Summary / Purpose
Provides support to design bases. By focusing on design baseline modifications and design basis control and maintenance. Design integrity maintained through effective configuration control of design output documents (i.e. specifications calculations drawings test requirements and procedures).
Job Duties / Responsibilities include:
- Maintains design basis for each site and supports maintenance of the licensing basis.
- Provides cost-effective modification designs to improve plant performance.
- Provides technical support to operations maintenance engineering and other site organizations.
- Supports safe reliable operation by identifying and effectively resolving issues via corrective action and work management processes.
- Develops engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
- Serves to outage engineering support teams. Attends training and maintains qualifications necessary to perform required group function.
Minimum education required of the position:
- Seeking an Electrical or Mechanical engineering major to work full time during the designated semester.
- Must be currently enrolled in school full time pursuing a Bachelors degree as indicated above and enrolled in sophomore year or beyond.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. (on a 4.0 scale)
Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the position:
- Good/Excellent communication skills.
- Experience/proficiency in PC use and applications depending upon engineering level.
