Job Summary
Mens Health Aging and Metabolism Research is seeking a highly motivated co-op student intern to support our research team with a primary focus on a diabetes kidney disease study examining an oral study drug on improving kidney function inflammation physical performance and overall aging in men and women who have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. The co-op student would be working on this study as it enters its final stages of recruitment and study completion. Responsibilities will include assisting with data entry preparing for end-of-study procedures conducting study visits and supporting ongoing study operations.
This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain direct experience in clinical research aimed at improving diabetes kidney disease health addition to the diabetes study the co-op student intern may assist with other ongoing clinical trials involving exercise science metabolism hormones and aging.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in the day-to-day conduct of multiple ongoing clinical trials in accordance with the individual study protocols.
- Assists in scheduling and conducting study visits within the Mens Health Clinical Research Unit the Exercise Physiology and Physical Performance Lab and other institutional research locations.
- Assist in preparing and documenting Case Report Forms (CRFs) for participant study visits.
- Upon completion of study visits inputs participant data into the respective electronic research database (RedCap SOCAR etc.).
- Collect vital signs anthropometric data perform EKGs administer and score psychometric questionnaires.
- Helping to maintain compliance with BWH Institutional Review Board (IRB) including assisting in submission and organization of regulatory materials.
- Communicates effective clinical trial updates with various members of the research team.
