Responsibilities and Impact:
Lead a team in developing and maintaining data-driven applications on both the front and back end with a focus on Data Science AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Engage with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for software solutions.
Conduct project estimation and feasibility assessments.
Oversee architectural design and conduct code reviews.
Adhere to best practices in data management and governance ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies.
Contribute to the identification design and implementation of process improvements.
Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure the team remains at the forefront of technology.
What Were Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent.
10 years of experience in data-driven software engineering both as an individual contributor and manager.
Strong hands-on experience with at least two of the following technologies: .NET Java Python or Scala.
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and ETL tools.
Experience working with AWS or GCP cloud-native services.
Commitment to test-driven development.
Competence in DevOps including GitHub Actions continuous delivery and automated testing.
Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and exploration.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in leading projects in a global setting.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks.
