Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Lead a team in developing and maintaining data-driven applications on both the front and back end with a focus on Data Science AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for software solutions.

  • Conduct project estimation and feasibility assessments.

  • Oversee architectural design and conduct code reviews.

  • Adhere to best practices in data management and governance ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies.

  • Contribute to the identification design and implementation of process improvements.

  • Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure the team remains at the forefront of technology.

What Were Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent.

  • 10 years of experience in data-driven software engineering both as an individual contributor and manager.

  • Strong hands-on experience with at least two of the following technologies: .NET Java Python or Scala.

  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and ETL tools.

  • Experience working with AWS or GCP cloud-native services.

  • Commitment to test-driven development.

  • Competence in DevOps including GitHub Actions continuous delivery and automated testing.

  • Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and exploration.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading projects in a global setting.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.

  • Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.

  • Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks.
