For over 10 years Preble Street has been a leader in the anti-trafficking movement in Maine. Working with a network of partners to promote individual and systemic justice Preble Streets Anti-Trafficking Services (ATS) provides survivor-centered services toward healing growth and self-sufficiency to people who have been trafficked and forced into commercial sex work domestic services agricultural work restaurant work or other labor.
Preble Street is seeking an Outreach Supervisor for its Anti-Trafficking Services program to supervise casework staff lead and manage the day-to-day program tasks and participate in providing direct services to survivors of human trafficking and labor trafficking. The ATS Outreach Supervisor also engages in strategic and targeted partnership development with community stakeholders and statewide program partners to facilitate outreach and access to services and to expand resources for trafficking survivors.
This is a full-time community-based position with a schedule of Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications includes a degree in social work with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience including previous supervisory experience or a comparable combination of education work experience and lived experience. Frequent statewide travel is required for this position. Candidates must have access to reliable transportation for daily regional travel.
Qualified candidates will also have knowledge of issues related to human trafficking; experience working with trafficking survivors survivors of physical or sexual abuse immigrants or refugees or similar populations; crisis intervention skills; ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries; thorough understanding of traumatic reactions mental illness substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders; commitment to furthering diversity equity and inclusion in our workforce and services; strong communication skills; knowledge of community and relevant resources; and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bilingual/multi-lingual skills are a preferred qualification.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The hourly rate of pay for this full-time (40 hours/week) position is$29.19 per hour. Staff with bi/multi-lingual skills may qualify for an additional $1 /hour differential.
