Proposal Engineer

As a Proposal Engineer youll be a key link between sales engineering and project delivery shaping proposals that turn complex technical requirements into commercially compelling solutions.
What Youll Be Doing
- Translate customer requirements and RFQs into accurate and competitive technical proposals.
- Work closely with sales project management and engineering teams to ensure every bid is technically sound and commercially viable.
- Prepare cost calculations technical specifications and supporting documentation for complex engineering projects.
- Review bid documents identify risks and opportunities and ensure all proposals align with business strategy.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations and technical input for equipment and services.
- Support project handover by preparing detailed documentation for smooth transition into execution.
- Take part in internal and customer meetings (virtually or onsite) to clarify proposals and strengthen relationships.
What Were Looking For
- A bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (additional qualifications in Tendering Estimation or Project Management are a plus).
- Around 3 years of relevant experience in proposal engineering tendering or process design for complex industrial projects.
- Experience working with process flow diagrams mechanical design and equipment specifications.
- Strong ability to balance technical precision with commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
- Ideally some experience in biogas industrial gases petrochemical or carbon capture sectors.
