Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hospitalist (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join its inpatient team in Shelton CT.

This is a full-time permanent position offering a collegial work culture flexible scheduling and minimal call responsibilities. You will work alongside an experienced team of physicians and advanced practice providers committed to high-quality evidence-based inpatient care.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care including admissions evaluations and management of hospitalized patients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests prescribe appropriate treatments and monitor progress.

• Participate in patient and family education regarding conditions treatments and discharge planning.

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care processes.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

• Licensure & Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.

• Experience: Prior hospitalist experience preferred but new graduates and residents are welcome to apply.
