QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Prior experience in security law enforcement education or related fields preferred.
- Ability to interact effectively and positively with students staff and visitors.
- Strong communication conflict resolution and observation skills.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and follow established procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include but are not limited to)
Parking Lot Patrol:
- Conduct regular walks through the parking lot several times daily to ensure student safety.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and report concerns promptly.
- Report safety or behavioral concerns to the administration.
Building Security:
- Ensure all exterior doors remain closed and secure; report any doors that are propped open.
- Conduct periodic checks of entrances and exits particularly during class transitions and lunch periods.
Hall and Bathroom Monitoring:
- Conduct regular checks of hallways and bathrooms to ensure proper student use and safety.
- Escort students who have lost pass privileges as needed.
- Address inappropriate behaviors discreetly and report issues to the administration.
Supervision:
- Assist with monitoring the hallways specifically around lunchtime and passing periods.
- Promote respectful and appropriate student behavior.
- Report safety or behavorial concerns to the administration.
Camera Monitoring:
- Monitor security camera feeds for potential safety issues or suspicious activity.
- Report incidents or concerns to the administration promptly.
