Job Duties:

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the faculty position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity to begin in August 2026. The department is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate and graduate instruction contribute to the development and oversight of the cybersecurity curriculum incorporate current techniques in teaching and research and work collaboratively to strengthen the departments programs.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Department: Mathematics & Computer Science

Full-Time: 100% Faculty Ongoing 9-month appointment one vacancy

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in cybersecurity computer science and mathematics as assigned by the department chair.
  • Oversee curriculum in cybersecurity in collaboration with departmental colleagues.
  • Maintain a program of scholarly activity.
  • Serve on departmental and university committees or councils.
  • Provide academic advising to students in Cybersecurity and Computer Science programs.

Other Duties:

  • Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate in Cybersecurity Computer Science or related field
  • University level teaching experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach broadly across Computer Science or Mathematics
  • Experience or interest in online teaching modalities

Compensation: Salary range for this position is: $100000 - $110000 annually.
