Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (3x12s)
Duration: 13-week assignment
Hours per Week: 36 hour
Pay Rate: $57.00/hr

Job Summary:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Respiratory Therapistfor an exciting job in Syracuse NY.

Responsibilities:

Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy treatments to patients.
Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy and continuous ventilation under physician guidance.
Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency response procedures.
Perform pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas sampling (radial punctures).
Document all procedures accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Provide respiratory education and support to patients and families as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Respiratory Therapy.
License: Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-degree acute care experience.
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Pediatric care experience (required).
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Ability to perform arterial punctures and interpret results.
Knowledge of ventilator and oxygen delivery systems.
