Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide services to students at a school district in Providence Rhode Island.

The ideal candidate will work closely with school teams to implement behavior plans and collect data in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements:

RBT certification

Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) trained

Responsibilities:

Implement individualized behavior plans and classroom point systems; de-escalate and manage student behavior using approved methods including crisis intervention and restraint (CPI trained).

Accurately collect monitor and document data related to student programs behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.

Support students across all school environments (classroom lunch recess specials transitions and bus duty) while maintaining safety and positive interactions.

Work closely with teachers service providers administrators and outside agencies to support student needs and develop effective behavior strategies.

Assist in training paraprofessionals on behavior management data collection and crisis response techniques.

Promote a constructive classroom atmosphere through active participation planning behavioral incentives and maintaining strong studentstaff relationships.

Any other assigned duties.
