JOB SUMMARY


Benton Countys Children and Family Mental Health Program is seeking a QMHA/Skills Trainer to add to their team to help meet the growing needs of our community. The QMHA/Skills Trainer will work as part of a clinical team under the guidance of a QMHP and will provide individual family and group skills training to youth presenting with mental health challenges. This QMHA/Skills Trainer will be required to use evidence-based interventions be collaborative with their intradisciplinary team and will be responsible for managing their own schedule. The majority of these services will be provided in the community at client homes and at school. This position will support the implementation of School-Based Outpatient and IIBHT programs.

The Benton County Children and Family program provides team-based services which allows for a great balance between autonomous work and collaboration among team members. This position works (4) 10-hour days with Fridays off. As an added benefit as a member of the Behavioral Health team there is a training budget of $1000 allotted annually for each employee. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The following minimum qualifications are requiredfor this position:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology Social Work Counseling or closely related field; AND
  • 1 year of related mental health work experience; AND
  • Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) with Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Please note: candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.
Special Requirements:
  • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
  • Valid Oregon drivers license or the ability to obtain.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Knowledge of Child-Serving systems in Benton County.
  • Experience in case management and care coordination.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Experience and confidence with facilitating meetings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with using an Electronic Health Record
  • Experience in working as part of a team.
