Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kairuruku - Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join Te Kura Mātai Pūkaha Pūrorohiko - School of Engineering and Computer Science team on a 2-year fixed-term full-time contract to work for an externally funded grant Finding understanding and mitigating vulnerabilities in domestic and global software supply chains.
Key responsibilities:
- Building an active research agenda that will lead to high quality research outputs.
- Contributing to timely delivery of agreed milestones/outcomes from funded research.
- Collaborating in research partnerships founded on mutual benefit and co-creation of research goals.
- Contributing to disseminating research and scholarship to positively influence culture society the economy or the environment.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will:
- Be a research-driven individual who is motivated in the area Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
- Have excellent communication skills an ability to collaborate with others in your field and have strong motivation for research.
- Be an individual with a passion for new and emerging research and teaching in the area of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
Key requirements:
- A PhD in Software Engineering Cyber Security Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Practical experience in software development with a proven understanding of modern development infrastructure and tools (e.g. Git build systems compilers).
- A strong research and publication record with publications accepted or published in leading international venues.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
