Job Summary

Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Duration: 13-week assignment
Pay Rate: $50/hour $1875/week

Job Summary:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Speech-Language Pathologistfor an exciting job in Syracuse NY.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech language cognition communication and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Deliver evidence-based therapy to improve communication and swallowing function.
Document evaluations treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
Collaborate with physicians nurses occupational therapists and physical therapists.
Educate patients and families on disorders treatment goals and home exercises.
Participate in care planning meetings and provide input on patient progress.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA infection control and facility policies.
Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress.
Support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as appropriate.
Maintain clinical productivity standards.
Participate in staff meetings continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Rehab Director or clinical supervisor.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current New York State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or CFY eligible.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles techniques and best practices.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of clinical or hospital experience preferred.
Experience in acute care inpatient rehab or skilled nursing facility (SNF) is a plus.
