Accident Reconstruction Expert Witness

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations and forensic analyses of motor vehicle accidents including crash dynamics impact forces vehicle kinematics roadway conditions and contributing human mechanical and environmental factors.
  

• Prepare detailed written reports and expert opinions supported by engineering principles data modeling and physical evidence.
  

• Provide expert witness testimony during depositions mediations and trials translating complex technical findings into clear understandable explanations for attorneys juries and other non-technical audiences.
  

• Collaborate closely with legal teams to develop case strategies identify key issues and support litigation efforts with precise technical expertise.
  

• Perform on-site inspections evidence collection and measurements to accurately reconstruct accident events.
  

• Stay current on industry standards crash investigation methodologies and relevant regulations and technologies in vehicle dynamics and roadway safety.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Transportation Engineering or a related discipline (Masters degree preferred).
  

• Proven experience in accident reconstruction collision analysis or forensic engineering.
  

• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics occupant kinematics roadway design and safety standards.
  

• Previous experience serving as an expert witness or testifying in legal proceedings is highly desirable.
  

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities with the capability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or ACTAR certification is preferred.
