Job Summary

School of Human Sciences

  • Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
  • Base salary range: Level A $83499 $112371 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Cancer Epigenetics Laboratory at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research is dedicated to developing novel therapeutic strategies for hard-to-treat cancers. Our fully funded research program leverages cutting-edge CRISPR technology to reprogram the cancer epigenome and overcome therapy resistance.

About the opportunity

  • Lead our CRISPR research team which includes research assistants and postgraduate student
  • Drive innovation provide mentorship and contribute to advancing impactful cancer research with translational potential.

About you

  • PhD in molecular biology or biochemisty with an emphasis on epigenetics and genomics.
  • Understand molecular biology concepts and worked with CRISPR
  • Established practical experience working and analysing high-throughput sequencing platforms
  • Track record in high quality research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles
  • Experience montoring or supervising staff and/or students at all levels

Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate Finance Check Working with Children Check and C class drivers licence will be required by the successful applicant.
