Position: Senior Building Envelope Consultant - Design
We are looking to add an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Building Envelope Consultant to our team. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of building envelope systems including design materials and performance analysis. You will play a key role in assessing designing and providing expert recommendations to ensure high-performing durable building envelopes. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with in-house engineers and architects while working on a variety of projects with potential for growth and advancement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and analysis of building envelope systems for new and existing structures.
- Develop detailed design solutions and specifications for building envelope components.
- Perform forensic investigations related to building envelope failures and deficiencies.
- Provide technical expertise on materials thermal performance moisture management and air barriers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate envelope systems with overall building design.
- Participate in client meetings site visits and construction administration to ensure quality and compliance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends codes and best practices related to building envelope design.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in building envelope consulting or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of building envelope materials systems and performance evaluation techniques.
- Experience with forensic investigations diagnostics and failure analysis.
- Proficiency in design software and building performance modeling tools.
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
- Valid drivers license required.
