Southport Kennel is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist with a great attitude outgoing personality a high level of computer proficiency and exceptional telephone communication ability to join our team. This is currently a Part time position with the potential of a permanent position in the future.
Skills and Experience Greeting clients Processing payments Managing multiple phone lines Maintaining a clean facility Strong interpersonal and communication skills The desire to work with and care for animals Ability to read interpret and write documents such as safety rules checklists and procedure manuals. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic mathematical skill to add subtract multiply and divide. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and record information. Ability to build rapport and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate urgency of situation and prioritize tasks. Responsive to direction provided by supervisors Work as part of a team with emphasis on communication Organized with an attention to detail. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees. Must be willing to submit to a Background Check and Drug Test
Experience: Prefer Kennel/ Vet experience of 1 yr
