The University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law seeks to hire a senior faculty member (F5 9-month) with expertise in Labor Law. The successful candidate must meet the University of Hawaiis criteria for tenure and full professor status to be appointed to serve as the inaugural Leonard Hoshijo Endowed Chair in Labor Law. The successful candidate will have responsibilities and receive support for the development of a robust Labor Law curriculum and program at the Law School.
Salary commensurate with experience.
The Law School is located in Manoa on the flagship campus of the University of Hawaii system. Successful candidates would also be expected to contribute to and support the Law Schools innovative online Juris Doctor (JD) program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A Juris Doctor degree or equivalent terminal degree from a college or university of recognized standing and demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship in Labor Law as well as in public service. A minimum of four (4) years of service as an Associate Professor. Professionalism in meeting and conferring with others.
