About the Role

HomeLights first-ever Associate Product Builder (APB) program fuses product design and engineering into one role. As an APB youll join a small AI-native squad to prototype build and ship features across our D2C Home Equity and Closing Services productsusing LLMs retrieval and data to improve matches streamline workflows and accelerate deals. Youll learn by shipping with mentorship from senior PMs designers and engineers developing a full-stack builder mindset that blends technical execution with product judgment.

What Youll Do

• Discover & define: Frame problems write crisp one-pagers/PRDs and set success metrics.
  
  
• Prototype fast: Create clickable prototypes using the best-in-class tools (Lovable V0 Replit Bolt etc.) and convert them into MVP products for validation.
  
  
• Build with AI to solve real problems for real estate professionals: Build solutions for real-world problems and users and take the idea to fruition with the support of product leadership.
  
  
• Ship & learn: Launch behind flags run A/B tests analyze results (SQL/Notebooks) iterate.
  
  
• Collaborate deeply: Partner with Design Eng Data and GTM (Sales/Ops/Support).
  
  
• Own quality: Define instrumentation basic reliability checks and alerting.
  
  
• Tell the story: Share results learnings and next steps with clarity and humility.

What Were Looking For

• Builder mindsetyou learn by shipping iterate quickly and embrace feedback.
  
  
• Comfort working with code AI tooling (Cursor Claude Codex etc.)
  
  
• Product sense and user empathy can turn messy problems into testable hypotheses.
  
  
• Data fluency: define metrics; write basic SQL; interpret experiment readouts.
  
  
• Clear concise communication across functions and with stakeholders.
  
  
• Education: Bachelors degree in a technical or product-adjacent field (or equivalent experience).

The following compensation information is provided to comply with job posting disclosure requirements in Colorado New York Washington and California.
Base Pay Range: $100000.00 - $180000.00 base pay will vary depending on several factors such as the position location qualifications of the individual market conditions and other operational business requirements. Range is dependent on the leveling process during the interview process.
