ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Risk & Compliance Manager youll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our schools operations. Reporting directly to the Business Manager youll lead the development implementation and continuous improvement of our risk management compliance and occupational health & safety frameworksensuring we meet the highest standards in governance privacy and care.

A cornerstone of your role will be championing our unwavering commitment to Child Safety. Youll guide policies practices and training programs that foster a culture of trust accountability and protection for every student in our care. Youll also serve on critical governance and safety committees and contribute meaningfully to the schools long-term planning and resilience.

This is a full time position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and ongoing refinement of the schools risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Oversee and improve systems to support OHS privacy governance and legal compliance.
  • Champion a child-safe culture supporting training risk assessments and policy alignment with Child Safe Standards.
  • Maintain and test the schools Business Continuity Plan and guide emergency preparedness.
  • Provide expert support on insurance contract reviews school events risk assessments and policy implementation.
  • Lead OHS practices across the school including training audits incident and Workcover claims management and legislative compliance.

WHAT YOULL BRING

  • A relevant degree in Risk & Compliance Law Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory environments quality management systems and compliance auditing.
  • Proven experience in change management and strategic risk leadership.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and coach stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive analytical mindset with high attention to detail and integrity.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities or other specific challenges.


Modelling Ethical Conduct:

  • Exhibit professional behaviour that aligns with the schools values and child safety standards.
  • Lead by example to foster a culture of trust respect and accountability.
