Associate degree in Cytology required
Bachelors degree in Cytology required
Other completion of training from an approved school of Cytotechnology
3 years of Cytology experience highly preferred
1 year of hospital specialty preferred
CT (ASCP) Cytotechnologist 6 months required
CT (IAC) Cytotechnologist 6 months required
SCT (ASCP) Specialist in Cytotechnology 6 months required
What You Will Do
Specimen Processing
Stain/Equipment maintenance
Assists in obtaining fine needle aspiration biopsies and preparing and staining slides for rapid assessment by the pathologist.
Maintains knowledge of computer software applications and uses computer applications competently as related to the specific task required for each assigned job responsibility.
