Heres what you need
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
- BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS within 90 days required
- PALS within 90 days required
- TNCC or ATCN within 12 months of hire required
- CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
- 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- Current ED strongly preferred - will consider ICU experience
In addition to the required qualifications a successful RN will
- demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- maintain a positive customer-focused attitude toward patients
- possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
- have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
assesses the patient
plans the care of the patient
intervenes as appropriate
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Work hours:Full-time 36 hours weekly 3 x 12 hours shifts 3 pm 3 am
Department Highlights
- 100-bed Marion Emergency Care 75000 square foot Level I Trauma center
- For minor care needs the ED offers a Quick Care area designed to expedite care and patient experience. Those requiring more extensive workups will be taken to one of the diagnostic rooms.
- Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of 22 Emergent Care rooms including three resuscitation rooms for the most severe trauma cases.
- ER has a dedicated area for comprehensive compassionate care of sexual assault victims.
- Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance.
