Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
To enhance the student experience at St. Olaf College Break Event Staff are charged with helping facilitate social programs during breaks (Fall Thanksgiving Winter Interim and Spring breaks). Break Event Staff support the Break Programming Committee by providing logistical support for social programming during breaks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with fellow Break Event Staff and professional staff to plan organize and lead interactive student-focused programs and events.
When needed develop proposals for events
Distribute publicity for events on campus and online.
Execute event logistics (space reservations food/catering orders print orders etc.).
Drive college vehicles (if authorized as a certified driver).
Attend all relevant meetings and training sessions including but not limited to a pre-break staffing meeting before each break and bi-weekly break planning meetings during the academic term.
Establish and maintain open communication with the supervisor on student needs during breaks.
Collaborate on special projects as needed.
Chaperone for off-campus events
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Must be on campus and available to staff social programs of varying lengths and times during break.
Familiarity with Google applications.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with and welcome students of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Basic understanding and knowledge of St. Olaf campus resources.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
