The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Entry Level and Associate Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 1 and Level 2) to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Bombers (B-1 and/or B-52) programs.
Position Responsibilities: (Level 1)
- Performs limited structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Participates in various test activities substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
- Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
- Works under close supervision.
Position Responsibilities: (Level 2)
- Performs basic structural analysis to determine structural integrity (margins of safety) using classical techniques and Boeing tools to support drawing release and limited support to the Manufacturing Review Board process.
- Develops complex structural math models and performs analysis using finite element methods to develop internal loads and stresses in order to verify structural integrity.
- Performs basic structural analysis to support response to customer inquiries service bulletin development failure investigation and regulatory agency coordination.
- Performs structural analysis to support trade studies and configuration development.
- Creates strength check notes to document analysis. Provides inputs to formal documentation to show compliance with Boeing customer and regulatory requirements.
- Develops and supports in-house software to enable efficient performance of engineering tasks.
- Assists in the research and preparation of data to support definition of structural design requirements.
- Works under general supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):(Level 1)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical Civil Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- Exposure to Finite Element Models (FEM) in academic and classwork
- Strong written verbal communications and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance
- Able to independently construct execute review and manage structural finite element models
- 1 or more years of experience in structural analysis
- Experience with Hypermesh Abaqus CAE and/or Nastran
- Experience validating or verifying finite element model results
- Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures (e.g. fatigue damage tolerance corrosion stress analysis statics materials strength material characteristics and repair techniques)
- Experience with Aircraft Primary Structures on Boeing Commercial Derivatives Commercial and/or Military applications (& 777)

Summary Pay Range - Level 1: $61200 - 82800
Summary Pay Range - Level 2: $71400 - 96600
