This position will perform higher-level data processing using administrative software and/or Microsoft Office and/or database programs specific to the department. This position does the ordering receiving and school level accounting as well as coordinates school/family communications and acts as a liaison between the school and contracted entities such as the bus and school picture companies. This position also oversees timecards substitutes and Frontline (our absence and substitute system). This position is responsible for the registration of new students and maintaining the student database. General duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Coordinate appointments and meetings. Data entry and maintain an accurate database system. Receive incoming calls and respond accordingly. Generate and maintain reports as required. Work independently exercising judgment and using technical knowledge under the general supervision of their administrator or designee. Assist staff as required. Perform requested typing and filing. Provide coverage in the absence of other secretaries. Complete required reports for the school district and state and federal agencies. Responsible for monitoring and tracking expenditures. Assist in annual budget preparation. Maintain accurate rosters. Establish and maintain communications with appropriate agencies as required. Essential duties and responsibilities for a Principals Secretary include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain a record of expenditures. Update district policy book as required. Treasurer for student activity accounts. Create Teacher Handbook.
