Asa TCSyouwill work in collaboration withtheFacility Manager Project Managersandlocal MOT teamto support MOTs core values and mission to protect our customers people business and TCS reviews and executes temporary traffic control plans and/or standards to ensure work zones are properly installed and maintainedalong with coordinatingand communicatingwith customers to ensure the safety of all workers.
- Set up and maintain channelizingdevices and other traffic controlequipmentaccording to Federal State and/or Local temporary traffic control guidelines and temporary traffic control plans for complex work zonesto ensure the safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic through project locations and work zones.
- Coordinateand communicate workactivityfor onsite MOT personnel including protectors (flaggers) TMA drivers and pilot car operators providing breaks and overall management of work zoneoperations.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with customers while always maintaining a professional approach to meeting customers expectations.
- Drive companyvehiclesto transport equipment trailers and team members to and from work sitesin asafeefficientandtimely manner. May alsobe required topull lightweight trailered equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and practices and notify theirsupervisorof any potential safety issues or incidents.
- Provide on-the-job training coaching and mentoring toprotectors(flaggers)and obtainall MOT-required training withinthetime frame established bythe Facility Manager.
- Complete all required project documentation including pre-job safetybriefings (PJSB) daily ticket control logs traffic control inspections vehicle inspections etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- FDOT Advance Temporary Traffic Control.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Valid Drivers License void of suspension or revocation.
- Must have open availability.
- Must be capable ofstanding 8-12 hours and lifting80lbsrepetitively using proper lifting techniques.
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to follow safeworkpracticesand companysafety guidelines.
- Competentin working around a high volumefast-moving traffic.
