Cocktail Server Sartiano's Italian Steakhouse

The Cocktail Server is responsible for serving guests and assists the bar staff while providing prompt tableside service and genuine hospitality to everyone.  The Cocktail Server is the leader of their station and keeps the service team in constant communication. Cocktail Servers are responsible for all aspects of service and must hold themselves to the highest standards of service excellence. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Greet guests in a positive friendly manner and acknowledge all celebrations anniversaries birthdays and other special requests.
• Has complete knowledge and display mastery of any sprit brand behind the bar structure of the cocktail menu including ingredients method of presentation of specialty cocktails and standard cocktails classic cocktails all wines by the glass designated glassware terminology garnishes all non-alcoholic beverages specifications and allergies.
• Working knowledge of the particular characteristics and descriptions of every wine/ champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
• Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by the room management.
• Responsible for taking beverage orders food orders and carrying out wine/beverage service.
• Forming growing and maintaining relationships with guests.
• Responsible for performing table maintenance by checking on the guest throughout service.
• Completing opening and closing side work.
• Maintaining health code standards.
• Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach.
• Handling guest checks and other related financial transactions (itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment).
• Bid farewell to guests using guests name when known and encourage them to return.
• Maintain a level of professionalism.
• Anticipate the guests needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands beers and non-alcoholic selections available on the restaurant/ lounge floor.
• Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
• Complete opening side duties: fold/stack cocktail napkins stock swizzle sticks straws matches line cocktail trays stock glassware restock supply cabinet inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
• Input all orders into POS system quickly and efficiently ensuring accuracy of all drinks and modifications.

Guest Services

• Ensure guests have same elevated experience in lounge as in dining room.
• Adapt to different guests as lounge will be for guests dining in the main dining room as well as those coming to enjoy the atmosphere for cocktails.

Company and Department Responsibilities

• A highly motivated and energetic personality.
• Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner in written and oral form.
• Candidates must exhibit wine beverage basic food and advanced service knowledge including wine service champagne mixed cocktails cordials after dinner drinks and up-selling.
• Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or above.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required at present or in the future for this position at all times.
• Willing to work in a loud and fast paced environment.
• Possession of /or ability to possess a valid alcohol awareness card.
• Possession of /or ability to possess a Health card.
• Experience in Bottle service preferred but not required.
• Consistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in accordance with Clark County Health Standards
• Ability to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis.
• Adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies.
• Consistently maintain a well-groomed appearance posture and hygiene deemed by management.
• Makeup technique and style should stay current and in line with current fashion standards and trends as deemed by management.
• Maintain dialogue with all guests while upholding a warm positive and friendly persona at all times.

Qualifications :

• Recommended experience: Minimum of 2-years previous work experience in a high volume fine-dining establishment.
• Knowledge/Certificates: Candidates must exhibit wine beverage basic food and advanced service knowledge including but not limited to wine service champagne mixed cocktails cordials after dinner drinks and up-selling.
• Education: High School diploma or above.
• Language Abilities: Fluent spoken and written English.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in POS software
