McNeese State University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Department of Engineering and Computer Science. The Department of Engineering and Computer Science supports the ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering concentrations of the B.S. in Engineering degree along with B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.S. in Chemical Engineering and also offers an ABET accredited B.S. degree in Computer Science. The Department alsosupports the Master of Engineering degree concentration in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. This is a full-time 9-month unclassified tenure-track position. The appointment begins in August 2026.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Teach a variety of basic undergraduate electrical engineering courses as well as process instrumentation automation and robotics engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. The teaching load is 12 semester credit hours and research load of 3 hours with academic duties as assigned by department head.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

Required: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a background in Process Instrumentation Automation and Robotics or related areas by the time of the appointment.
