The Penrith City Library Service provides an array of informational educational and recreational resources and services for residents and visitors through three branch libraries a home library service community events and pop-up libraries childrens and adult programming physical and digital collections local history collections and programs and a toy library service. About the role
A part-time opportunity is available for a qualified Librarian or Senior Library Technician to support the delivery of effective library services across Penrith City Councils three branches. The role includes providing customer service assisting with digital services and equipment responding to reference queries participating in programs and events and acting as supervisor duty officer when rostered. Availability is required across seven days including evenings and weekends. The roster for this role is: Sundays 1:15pm - 5:15pm Mondays 1:15pm - 8:15pm and Tuesdays 9:30am - 5:00pm.

Commencing salary: $43.19 per hour plus 12% Superannuation.
You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review in order to progress through the recruitment process.
