The Year 2 Teacher will take a pivotal role in helping pupils consolidate early skills and prepare for KS2. Planning and induction will begin ahead of January 2026 and the Year 2 Teacher will be fully in post from January 2026 with strong mentoring and collaborative support.
The Year 2 Teachers role is varied and rewarding: you will plan high-quality lessons that build fluency in reading develop stamina for writing and deepen number sense. The Year 2 Teacher will run phonics groups lead guided reading track progress and deploy interventions where necessary. The Year 2 Teacher will contribute to enrichment lead small cross-year projects and work with families to ensure each child thrives from January 2026.
