Job Summary

The way companies innovate is broken. The systems built to create and protect ideas cant keep up with the pace of change. Today 90% of S&P 500 company value is intangible (e.g. IP) yet R&D and IP teams spend half their time buried in manual work sifting through patents and paperwork instead of pushing the frontier forward. The tools of creating and protecting are stuck in the past. Were here to fix that.

Ankar is building the AI Platform for the Trillion Dollar Innovation Economy a suite of tools that helps inventors explore create and protect ideas. Were removing the friction from the invention process starting with IP protection and expanding toward creation and exploration.

Achieved $1M ARR with 75% of this coming in the last 5 months
Loved by F500 companies & top law firms with 60% of new business from word-of-mouth
Assembled a world-class team from Palantir Amazon and BCG to tackle to next frontier of invention creation and creation expanding into a $1T market
Raised 3m from Index Ventures founder of Hugging Face CEO of Datadog and product leaders from DeepMind and OpenAI.

Were now expanding the team and looking for builders who want to own ambitious projects autonomously solve impactful & complex problems and do their best work at Ankar.

Tasks

Build out a first-class platform. Youll be driving backend development in a high-ownership environment. Youll be working across the full product space from building data pipelines to creating a user experience our customers love.
Ship product at high velocity. Momentum is a defining feature of Ankar as we work on a one-week sprint basis. We are the ideal place for builders who get energy from seeing the impact your work has on real customers as we iterate with our users each week.
Create impact at the frontier of AI. Were on a mission to solve the biggest challenges faced by inventors using LLMs and cutting edge software.

Requirements

Has a track record of building world class software. Ideally you have 2 years of experience building value adding products for end users from scratch.
High agency and criticality. You own your work approach problems critically and take pride in what you build. We believe this is the best way to for you to grow and for the product to succeed. We create the environment to help you thrive as an owner.
Thrives in a fast-paced & ambiguous environment. You work quickly and iteratively. We work in one-week sprints to ensure we are delivering value and and leading the market.
Bonus points Has experience deploying production AI applications.

Location: Hoxton Square London (we operate an office first policy with flexibility)
Contract: Full-time
